Michael Bednar, 88,of Gillespie,Fayette City R.D.1,died Monday,February 9,1959 at 10:50 p.m. at his home. He was born Aug. 28,1870 in Czechoslovakia and was a resident of Gillespie for 66 years. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Greek Catholic Church,Charleroi,and was a retired coal miner. He is sruvived by his wife, Mary; one brother, Joseph of R.D.fFyette City and several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the late home where Prayer service will be held Thursday,Feb. 12 at 9 a.m.,followed by Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Byzantine Rite Catholic Church,Charleroi,with the Rev. George Kuzina officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
