Mrs. Anna Bongiorno of 315 Shady avenue, Charleroi,died at her home,Thursday, February 20,1958,at 9:30 a.m.,following a lingering illness. She was born in Sicily,Italy,September 12,1882,and came to Charleroi in 1892 from her native land. She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church/ She is survived by six sons,Anthony of Fairhope,Joseph of Charleroi,Frank of Sacramento,California,Thomas of Allenport,Paul of Shadyside, Ohio,and Phillip of Monessen;three daughters,Mrs. Armundo (Anna) Benedetti and Mrs. Samuel (Bessie) Sutch of Charleroi and Mrs. Walter (Sara) Osiol of Donora;two brothers, Thomas Arrigo and James Arrigo of Charleroi;one sister, Mrs. Margaret Lococo,of Charleroi;thirty-one grandchidlren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her husband died January 10,1953. Friends will be received at her late home. Requiem High Mass will be sung February 24,at 8:30 a.m.,by Rev. J.J. Thomas,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C. Slezak is the funeral director.
