Obituary

Melvin K. Baker,45,of 111 Braddock avenue,Turtle Creek,died Monday, October 24,1955,from the effects of a fall from a scaffold.  Mr. Baker was a veteran of World War Two, and served overseas. He is survived by his wife, Sue Baker, one son, Kenneth at home,four daughters, Beverly Jean McCoy of Long Branch, California,Shirley,Donna and Sandra at home,six brothers, Frank, John and Thomas of Mansfield,Ohio,James of Youngstown,Emile of York, and Clair of Waynesburg, Ohio, seven sisters, Mrs. Elsie Kimmell,Mrs. Mildred Martin of Dayton,Ohio,Mrs. Margaret Clark of Youngstown,Mrs. Wiletta Smith of Blairsville Mrs. Ellen Pitzer of Donora,Mrs. Myra Rosborough of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Anna McMasters in Florida. Friends are bieng received at the Toner Funeral Home,Broad avenue, Belle Vernon,where visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 and from 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday,Oct. 28,at 2 p.m. from the funeral home.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
