Lois Bachhofer Altemara of 202 Knox Ave.,Monessen,died in Uniontown Hospital on Friday,October 15,1976 at 10 p.m.,after a short illness. She was 65. She was born Nov.24,1910, in Salt Lake City,Utah, a daughter of the late John and Mary Edna Allen Bachhofer. Her husband,James J. Altemara,preceded her in death on Aug. 21,1967. Mrs. Altemara was a member of First Baptist Church,Monessen;Order of Eastern Star Chapter 205,Monessen and White Shrine 9,Monongahela. She was past president of Auxiliary of McKean Commandry 80 of Charleroi. Included among the survivors is a brother,John Bachhofer of Perryopolis;one niece,one nephew,three grand-nieces and three grand-nephews Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen, after 2 p.m. Sunday,Oct. 17 and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday,Oct.18. Services will be held Tuesday,Oct.19 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Kent Lightall of Fellsburg in charge.l Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
