John R. Allen of Belle Vernon R.D.2,died Monday,Jan.6,1969 in McKeesport Hospital. He had worked 35 years at the Irvin Works of U.S. Steel at Davosburg. Mr. Allen, a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church at Belle Venron R.D.,is survived by his widow, Margaret Lewis Allen, a daughter, Mrs. James (Bonnie) Hertz of Belle Vernon R.D.2,his mother, Mrs. Jennie Allen of Belle Vernon R.D.2,three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton of Belle Vernon, Mrs. George (Ruth) Homa of Belle Vernon R.D.2 and Mrs. Doris Fox of Avon, Ohio,a brother, Robert O. Allen of Belle Vernon R.D.2 and one granddaughter. Friends will be receivedd at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. beginning Jan. 8. Service there Friday, Jan. 10,at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Allie Clayton,pastor of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church at Belle Vernon R.D.,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R. Toner is the funeral director.
