Lenwood L.Allen;70;who made his home at the Rainbow Hotel on Schoonmaker Avenue in Monessen;died suddenly there Sunday;March 17;1968;at 5:40 a.m. Born in Virginia on April 30;1897;he was a former member of Union Baptist Church of Monessen;and a retired employee of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Mr.Allen belonged to Monessen Choral and Literary Club. Surviving are four sons;Robert of Washington;D.C.;Richard of Philadelphia;George of Rochester;N.Y.;and Phillip T.of Monessen;two daughters;Mrs.Mona Wells and Mrs.Barbara Dupree;both of Monessen. Friends will be received at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen;after 7 p.m.March 18 and thereafter from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral service from Fellowship Baptist Church in Monessen at 11 a.m. Thursday;March 21.
