Stanton Alton of Belle Vernon R. D. 2 died Friday,February 18,1966 at 8:45 p.m. at his home after a long illness. A retired carpenter, he was a member of First Methodist Church,Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth Harvey Alton; a daughter,Elizabeth,at home; a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Grace) River,Belle Vernon;a niece, Mrs. Ralph (Bernice) Santmyer, Belle Vernon;two nephews, the Rev. Stanton River of Midland and Daniel River of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Harold R. Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m. Saturday. Services will be held Monday, Feb. 21,at 2 p.m. from the funeral home,with the Rev. Howard Rodebaugh,pastor of Pricedale Union Church, officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
