Mrs. Ellen T. Allen,83,of Park Manor,Monessen,formerly of Charleori,died at her home,Tuesday,February 6,1962 at 3:30 a.m. She was born in Scotland,Nov.3,1878,and had spent most of her married life in Belle Vernon. For the past four and a half years she had resided in Monessen,and was a member of the St.Leonard R.C.Church. She was preceded in death by her husband,Arthur Allen,Sr.,a son, Arthur B.Allen,Jr.,and a daughter,Mrs.Mabel Shepler. Survivors are one granddaughter,Mrs.Nancy Sambuchini,of Monessen,a nephew,Thomas Owens,Belle Vernon,and a niece,Mrs.Joseph Walsh,Baltimore,Md. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon after 7 p.m.,Feb.6. Requiem High Mass will be sung Thursday,Feb.8 at 9:30 a.m. in St.Leonard R.C.Church,Monessen,with the Rev. Martin J.O'Toole,officiating.
