Obituary

Ernest W.Astle,Jr.,of 1043 Meldon avenue,Donora,died in Monongahela Memorial Hospital,Wednesday,October 23,1957,at 7:50 a.m. He was a member of the Charleroi Eagles lodge,and was employed as an operator of a cut-off machine at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel company. He is survived by his wife,Virginia Mendez Astle,two sons,Dale of Delaware and Thomas at home,two daughters,Gloria Jean and Dolores at home,his parents,Mr.and Mrs.Ernest W.Astle of Stockdale,three brothers,Milton A.,Woodrow L.and Raymond J.of Stockdale,five sisters,Mrs.Bruno (Hazel) Bandini of Clairton,Mrs.Dale (Marian) Arthurs,Fayette City,Mrs.Florence Angelocci,Trenton,Michigan,Miss Doris A.Astle,Stockdale,and Mrs.Victor (Loma Jean) Benedetti,Charleroi,and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services there on Saturday,October 26,1957,at 1:15 p.m.will be followed by additional rites at two o'clock in St.Mary's Episcopal Church,Charleroi. Rev.Joseph N.Wittkofski will be in charge,and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is the funeral director.
