Ernest W.Astle;Jr.;of 1043 Meldon avenue;Donora;died in Monongahela Memorial Hospital;Wednesday;October 23;1957;at 7:50 a.m. He was a member of the Charleroi Eagles lodge;and was employed as an operator of a cut-off machine at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel company. He is survived by his wife;Virginia Mendez Astle;two sons;Dale of Delaware and Thomas at home;two daughters;Gloria Jean and Dolores at home;his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Ernest W.Astle of Stockdale;three brothers;Milton A.;Woodrow L.and Raymond J.of Stockdale;five sisters;Mrs.Bruno (Hazel) Bandini of Clairton;Mrs.Dale (Marian) Arthurs;Fayette City;Mrs.Florence Angelocci;Trenton;Michigan;Miss Doris A.Astle;Stockdale;and Mrs.Victor (Loma Jean) Benedetti;Charleroi;and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services there on Saturday;October 26;1957;at 1:15 p.m.will be followed by additional rites at two o’clock in St.Mary’s Episcopal Church;Charleroi. Rev.Joseph N.Wittkofski will be in charge;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is the funeral director.
