Pottsville; Pa. was the birthplace of Mrs. Marie Anderson; who
died at the home of her daughter;
Mrs. J. W. Govier; Sr.; 145 Johnston street; Belle Vernon;Wednesday morning; Sept. 5; 1956; at 6:30 o’clock.
Mrs. Anderson moved to Belle
Vernon from McKeesport in 1913
and since that time had been a
member of the First Baptist
Church of Belle Vernon. She was
a member of the Daughters of America and the Dames of Malta.
Surviving along with Mrs. Govier is a brother; David J. Davis;
of Brooklyn and a sister; Mrs.
Ray Govier; of Huntington; W. Va.
Two grandchildren and five great
grandchildren also survive.
Friends are being received at
the Ferguson Funeral Home;
Broad avenue; Belle Vernon; from
1 to 5 and from 7 to 10 p. m. Funeral services will be held Saturday;Sept.8;1956;at 2 p.m.;with Rev.James C.Puz;pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director.
