Obituary

Olga H.Zuro,87,formerly of Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Aug.17,1997,at 2:15 p.m.in the Parish House,Perryopolis. She was born in North Belle Vernon on Jan.6,1910,a daughter of the late Mike and Anna Mitush Zuro Sr. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon,she was a member of Belle Vernon Golden Agers and the Belle Vernon Eastern Star. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of Charleroi. In 1976,she retired from Mine Safety Corp.of Wilkinsburg. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by four brothers,Steve,William,John and Michael Zuro Jr.,and a sister,Eve Strianka. Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law,Peter and Sophie Zuro of Monessen and Paul and Rosemarie Zuro of McKeesport,and four sisters,Jean Astle,Mrs.James (Mary) John and Mrs.Dalvert (Doris) Booth,all of Belle Vernon,and Ann Mezoff of Bel-Air,Md. She is also survived by seven nephews,John Zuro,Michael Zuro,Dalvert Booth,Douglas Booth,David,James and Robert Zuro,and 11 nieces,Linda O'Brian,Marilyn Zuro,Janice Yeaton,Judy Tine,Barbara Strianka,Michelle Carson,Gloria Braddock,Marsha Lewis,Nancy Whiting,Beth Miller and Nicole Mezoff. She was also preceded in death by a nephew,James Jones. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held Wednesday in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
