Obituary

Rebello M. Zanardelli,93,of 737 Green St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,Aug.11,1997,at 6:45 a.m.at Adult Assisted Living Inc.,Dunlevy. He was born July 31,1904,in Daisytown,a son of the late Matthew and Maria Paterlini Zanardelli. Mr.Zanardelli was a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 51 years,where he was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,the Holy Name Society of the parish and the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026. He retired from the former Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., where he was employed in the structural shop. Mr.Zanardelli was also a member of the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Virginia Zanardelli of Roseville, Calif, a daughter, Lois Vizza of Belle Vernon, one brother, Ramo Zanardelli of Charleroi, a sister, Alice Rosini of Donora, 10 grandchildren, Gregory J. Vizza of Fredericktown, Valerie L. Coulton and Rosalyn A. Claman, both of Dayton, Ohio, Matthew Zanardelli of Bakersfield, Calif., Duane Zanardelli of Santa Cruz, Calif., Dean Zanardelli of San Jose, Calif., Vicki Battin of Dayton, Ohio, Kristofer Zanardelli, Ryan Zanardelli and Patrick Zanardelli, all of Roseville, Calif., and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dena Pieri Zanardelli on Sept. 22,1977,a brother,Bruno Zanardelli,and two sisters,Zena Ianonne and Edith Hogan. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev.E.George Saletrik,Parochial Vicar of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary in the funeral home Wednesday at 3 p.m.,followed by services conducted by Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 at 7 p.m. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
