Albert W. Zema,57,of 23 Esther St.,Charleroi,died Sunday,may 23,1993 at 5:45 p.m. in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. he was born in belle Vernon on April 1,1936, a son of the late Severio and Mary Bitonti Zema. Mr. Zema was a member of Mary,Mother of the Church (St. Jerome site). He was a former member and past president of the Charleroi Rotary and was a member of the Charleroi Lions Club. He was a gradauate of the Belle Vernon Area High School class of 1953, where he had served as class president. He was a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in May of 1957. Mr. Zema had been employed by Mellon Bank since 1957, and retired as an assistant manager of the Charleroi branch when he went on sick leave in August of 1991. He is survived by his wife, Carol Haywood Zema; two sons, Albert W. Zema of Monessen and David Pascarella at home; two daughters, Natalie Walker of Newport News, Va. and Dana Pascarella of Charleroi; a brother,Sam Zema of Belle Vernon; two sisters,Mrs. Daniel (Mary) Solomon of West Mifflin and Sarah Bednardzyk of Fayette City R.D.1;his mother-in-law, Marie Gravania of Charleroi and three grandchildren, Azalyn and Arielle Amprim and Nicolette Walker. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marla Beth Amprim on Oct. 1,1992 and a sister, Rose Marie Beketic in 1968. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the St. Jerome site of Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, with the Rev. John Marcucci officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
