Bruno (Barney) Zanardelli,of Dunlevy,died Sunday,Dec. 1,1991,in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Aug. 4,1907,in Dunlevy,a son of the late Matthew and Marie Paterlini Zanardelli. He retired after 39 years as a millright with Corning Glass in 1972. From 1945 to 1963,he had a Dixieland band,named "Barney Zan and his Dixieland Band." He was also employed by Dunlevy Borough as a school crossing guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Aldo Zanardelli;one sister,Zena Ianni;one granddaughter, Robin Zanardelli and several nephews. Survivors include his wife, Mary Hanak Zanardelli;two sons,Robert Zanardelli of Roscoe and Kenneth Zanardelli of Speers;one daughter, Janice Zimmerman of Belle Vernon; two brothers, Bello Zanardelli of Belle Vernon,and Ramo Zanardelli of Charleroi;two sisters, Mrs. Alice Rosini of Donora,and Mrs. Edith Hogan of Charleroi;five grandchildren;three great-grandchildren;and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Flower of Dunlevy United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
