Elizabeth B.Gillen Young;77;of Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;March 21;1993;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. She was born Feb.17;1916;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late George and Lulu Perkins Gillen. Mrs.Young was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband James Red Young;in 1972;and a brother;George Gillen. Survivors include two sons;James Young at home and William Flenniken of Titusville;Fla.;one daughter;Mrs.Paul (Cynthia) Berestecki of West Newton;three sisters;Edna Dubansky of Lynnwood (Belle Vernon);Ella Speers and Virginia Houseman;both of Belle Vernon;six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a;m;with the Rev.Dr.Thomas St.Clair;pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
