Obituary

Private interment was held Friday, Oct. 18,1996, for Jesse Winters Jr.,71, of 107 Price Ave.,Belle Vernon,who died Thursday,Oct. 17,1996,at 7:48 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born July 6,1925,in Brownstown (Fayette City),he was a son of the late Jesse W. Winters Sr. and Bertha Wilcox Winters.  Mr. Winters was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 342nd Harbor Craft Company.  A resident of Belle Vernon the past 20 years, he was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion. Survivors include two sons, Barry Winters and Blake Winters, both of Belle Vernon; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Pamela) Voigts of Roselle, Ill.; one brother,Joe Winters of Dawson; two sisters, Bertha "Dolly" Rende of Arizona and Ella Blair of Fayette City and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a son, Master Sgt. Brett Winters, in 1994;one brother,Harry Winters and three sisters, Mildred Shosner, Alice Hisson and Ann Winters. There was no public visitation.  The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,was in charge of arrangements.
