Helen Todd Wasicek,82,of 26 Todd Farm Road,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,May 18,1996,at 1:35 a.m. in Westmoreland Manor,Greensburg. She was born July 3,1913, in Vesta, a daughter of the late John and Mildred Roberts Todd. Mrs. Wasicek had resided in the Belle Vernon area for the past 59 years. She was Protestant by faith. Along with her husband,she had owned and operated Wasicek's Market in North Belle Vernon for many years. Survivig are two daughters, Mrs. George (Faith ) Galiotto of Belle Vernon and Mrs. James (Judie) Kapcia of Haines City,Fla. ;a brother, Jack Todd of Stockdale; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, August "Pokey" Wasicek,who died Jan. 24,1984; a son,Jan Wasicek; a brother, Ralph Todd and two sisters, Jennie Hines and Mimi Todd. Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Thomas St. Clair,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
