Romney; W.Va.
Born May 22; 1914; in New
Brighton; he was the son of the
late Samuel E. and Alma
Paulson West.
Mr. West was a member of the
Free Methodist Church.
He had been a resident of Perryopolis
R.D.1 since 1949; having
formerly resided in Fayette City
and Belle Vernon.
He retired in 1960 as a tractor-trailer
driver; having formerly
been employed by the Donora-
Southwestern Railroad. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his
wife; Mary Richardson West;
who died May 5; 1983; and two
brothers; Robert and Charles
West.
Surviving are two sons;
Thomas E. West of Capon
Bridge; W.Va.; and Harold A.
West of Star Junction; four
daughters; Mrs. Roy (Alma)
Taylor of Belle Vernon R.D.3;
Mrs Harry (Vivian) Conn and
Mrs. Robert (Rita) Balentine.
both of Star Junction; and
Sharon Obsher of Vanderbilt; 16
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren;
three brothers;
Ray West of Canada; Howard
West of Belle Vernon R.D.3; and
David West of Marion; Mich.;
and two sisters; Sara
Wilbraham of Deland; Fla.; and
Dorothy Williams of Star
Junction.
Friends will be received Tuesday
from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral
Home Inc.; 700 Broad Ave.;
Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m.with the Revs.Charles McDonald of the Evangelical Weslyan Church and Stephen Debosh of the Metro Baptist temple of Belle Vernon Cemetery. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
