Eleanor Gale West;72;of 712 Water St.;North Charleroi;died Sunday;May 23;1993;at 8:15 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born in Daisytown;Sept.30;1920;a daughter of the late William and Rosella Chester Gregg. Mrs.West was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi and a charter and life member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Auxiliary. She had lived in North Charleroi since 1975 and was formerly of Perryopolis. She is survived by her husband;Oliver B.West Sr.;two sons;Oliver B.West Jr.of Dawson and L.Gregg West of Monongahela;three daughters;Mrs.William (Linda) Johnson of Daisytown;Mrs.Bradley (Norma Jean) Baker of Perryopolis and Mrs.Charles (Barbara) Moore of Belle Vernon;a brother;William Gregg of Columbus;Ohio;three sisters;Thelma Wright of Richeyville;Norma Wine of Dormont and Nola Havrilesko of North Charleroi;12 grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by a grandson;Oliver B.West III. Friends were received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Edward S.Hammettt of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
