Ada L. Watkins,86,414 May St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,Dec. 19,1992,at Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Nov. 11,1906,in Rostraver Township,a daughter of the late Issac and Carrie B. Ross. She was a lifetime resident of Belle Vernon. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,where she served many years as a church clerk and in other clerical positions. She was also a member of the Belle Vernon Area Church Women and Belle Vernon Golden Agers. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law,Urella Chatman of Teaneck,N.J.,and Marie Johnson and son-in-law,Leon Johnson,of Monessen;two sisters-in-law,Margaret and Catherine Watkins,both of Belle Vernon;one nephew,Jim Lippincott;and nieces and cousins,Lori Payne,Robbin Wilson,Doris Wright,Dorothy Koss and Bessie Morrison. She was preceded in death by one daughter,Lorraine,and her husband,Raymond Watkins,who passed away in 1982. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Clifford A. Carter,pastor of the church,officiating. Eulogy will be given by Rev. Luther Wormack. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Percy E. Law Jr.Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
