Obituary

Alfarelta S. White, 87, of 206 Arch St., Belle Vernon, died Monday, July 15, 1991, at 10:32 p.m. in the Jefferson Health Center. She was born in Belle Vernon on June 18, 1904, a daughter of the late William and Alfaretta Dodds Soles. Mrs. White was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon, the Women's Beneficial Association and the Rebecca Lodge. She was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon. She was a former employee of Woolworth Five and Dime Store in Monessen and also Murphy's Five and Dime Store in Belle Vernon. ln addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. White on Feb. 22, 1987; three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by three sons, Harold S. White of Castle Shannon, James W. White, at home, and Edward White of Belle Vernon; five daughters, Mrs. Paul (LaVonne) Reed of Gibsonton, Patricia Parsons of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Louis (Audrey) Vertosnik of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Barry (Gwen) Vanaman of Canon City, Colo., and Mrs. Joseph (Sandy) Revak or Youngstown, Ohio; 33 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
