died Thursday; June15;1989; at
9:50 a.m. in his home; following a lengthy illness.
Born July 20; 1914; in Jeannette;
he was the son of the late
William and Nora McCarthy
White Sr.
Mr. White was Protestant by
faith.
He was retired from the
Monessen plant of Wheeling-
Pittsburgh Steel Corp.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
first wife; Maude Sturges White;
in 1970; and his second wife;
Helen Murt White; in 1982.
Surviving are one stepson;
Thomas Murt of Belle Vernon;
two daughters; Mrs. Warren
(Sharon) Grier of Belle Vernon
and Terri Jean White of Belle
Vernon; with whom he made his
home; one stepdaughter; Mrs.
Ron ( Pat ) Nandor of
Greensburg ; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren;two sisters;Mrs.Donald (Peg) Sterner and Mrs.John (Joann) Rice;both of Belle Vernon and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and on Saturday until 2 p.m.;when services will be held with Pastor Robert Cromwell of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
