Obituary

Harry K.Winters,77,of Sweeney Drive,Rostraver Township,died Thursday,Aug.4,1988,in the Southwestern Nursing Home,Pleasant Hills.  Mr.Winters was born Dec.25,1910,in Fairhope,a son of the late Jesse W.Winters and Bertha Wilcox Winters.  He was a retired plasterer.  Mr.Winters was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II.  He was a member of the Plasterers' Union,Pittsburgh.  His wife,Virginia B.Winters,and two sisters,Ann M.Winters and Mildred Stoffner,are deceased.  Surviving are three daughters,Mrs.June Baldwin of Sweeney Drive,Rostraver Township (with whom he made his home),Mrs.Nancy Vanaman of Homasassa,Fla.,and Mrs.Wanda Thomas of Baton Rouge,La.,two brothers,Joseph Winters and Jesse Winters Jr.,both of Belle Vernon,three sisters,Mrs.Ella Blair of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Alice Hissom in Ohio and Mrs.Dolly Rende of Los Angeles,Calif.,nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.in the James C.Stump Funeral Home,Sweeney Plan,Rostraver Township.  Services will be held Monday at 9 a.m.in the funeral home,with the Rev.Martin Miller,pastor,Fells United Methodist Church,officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The James C.Stump Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
