Carl E.Wolford of 412 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday;Jan.7;1986;at Mon Valley Hospital Inc.following a lengthy illness. He was 78. Born in Berlin;Ohio;he was a son of the late Frank and Sophie Stamper Wolford. Mr.Wolford was an area resident most of his life. He was a millwright with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp’s Monessen plant prior to his retirement in 1972. Surviving are his wife;Helen Curtis Wolford;two daughters;Mrs.Robert (Dolores) Johnson of Columbus;Ohio;and Mrs.Stanley (Mona) Belczyk of Rostraver Township;three sons;Carl F.Wolford of Monessen;Jack I.Wolford of Belle Vernon and Robert L.Wolford of Allenport;12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.1209 Grand Boulevard;Monessen;where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the chapel with Pastor Dan Francisco officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
