Obituary

Albert R. Walton of 99 Johnston St.,Belle Vernon, died Sunday, Jan. 25,1981,a 5 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital.  He was 74. Mr. Walton was born Feb. 21,1906,in Connellsville,a son of the late William and Martha Makepeace Walton.  He retired in 1966 from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. and was a member and past elder of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church and a member and past master of the Gummert Lodge 252,F. & A.M.,Fayette City.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Amelia W. Feree and Elizabeth W. Dewar,and one brother,Leonard Walton. Survivors include his widow,Delilah Bauer Walton;one daughter,Mrs. Bernard (Kathleen) Stimmell of New Lenox,Ill.;one son,David A. Walton of Pittsburgh;two grandchildren,Karen and Randy Stimmell,both of New Loeox,Ill.;and one sister,Mrs. John (Dorothy) Nicholson of Fayette City,R.D.1. Feiends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m.tuesday in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral home,fayette City.  Funeral services will be held privately with the Rev. H.D. Hough of Indiana,Pa.,and the Rev. Fred G. Gnatuk of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church officiating.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers,the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Washington Twp.-Fayette City Community Ambulance Service or the church of the contributor's choice.  The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
