A long-time resident of the Belle Vernon area,Mrs.Eva Young Williamson,died suddenly Tuesday morning,April 18,1978,at the age of 89. She was a resident of Apartment 305 at the Belle Vernon Apartments. Mrs.Williamson was born in Akron,Ohio on Feb.17,1889,to the late Robert and Hannah Young. She moved to the Belle Vernon area as an infant. She had been a member of the Pricedale Union Church for 75 years. Last July,she observed her 70th wedding anniversary. She was preceded in death by two sons,Robert and Jack,both of whom died in 1918. Survivors include her husband,William A.Williamson;two daughters,Mrs.Joseph (Jean) Grant of Boardman,Ohio,and Mrs.Mitchell (Hope) Steen of Dunlevy;three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m.in the funeral home,with the Rev.Charles Colas,pastor of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
