Obituary

Lillian Fieri Valdiserri, 87, of 135 Johnston Ave., North Belle Vernon, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. She was born June 14, 1912, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late Guytano and Theresa Bartolozzi Pieri. Mrs. Valdiserri resided in Belle Vernon for the past 52 years as a homemaker and a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Cleo Valdiserri, two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Virginia Valdiserri of Northville, Mich, and Wayne and Linda Valdiserri of Sun City, Ariz., a sister and brother-in-law, Dolly and Chester Biagini of Belle Vernon, two grandsons, Douglas and Vincent Valdiserri of Monessen, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Itilo Pieri and four sisters, Lena Valdiserri, Emma Franchini, Ida Picchiarini and Dena Zanardelli. Friends will be received in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family-owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a prayer service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home, and the North Belle Vernon Fire Department will hold a service Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
