Obituary

Thomas E. Toth,79,of Perryopolis R.D.2,died Friday,March 21,1997,at 1 p.m.in Mount Macrina Manor,Uniontown. Born May 5,1917,in Arnold City,he was a son of the late John and Cora Smith Toth. He was former owner and operator of Toth's Market in Lynnwood for over 30 years,retiring in 1988. Mr.Toth was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. A resident of Perryopolis since 1994,he had spent most of his adult life in the Belle Vernon area. Survivors include his wife,Isabelle Costello Toth, with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on October 7, two sons and daughters-in-law, J. Thomas and Mary Ann Toth of Belle Vernon and Steven E. and Cynthia Toth of Perryopolis, two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Del Smith of Perryopolis and Wilma and Tom Fleshman of Mechanicsburg, four brothers, John Toth of Speers, Joseph Toth of Belle Vernon, Melvin Toth of Fayette City and Clifford Toth of Belle Vernon, two sisters, Dorothy Pierce of Christianburg, Va., and Margie Frosini of Finleyville, eight grandchildren, Monica Brannon of Jefferson Borough, Lori Ann Toth of Belle Vernon, Duane Smith of Perryopolis, Kevin Fleshman of Philadelphia, Wendy Smith of Greentree, Tad Fleshman ot Philadelphia, Sarah Ann Toth and Steven Toth, both of Perryopolis, and one great-grandson, Lucas Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Toth, in 1985 and Stephen Toth,in 1947. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev.John Cindric,V.P.,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. If friends wish,memorial contributions may be made to the Adult Day Center in care of Center in the Woods,California,Pa.,the Alzheimers Association,Laurel Mountain Chapter of Greensburg,or Mt.Macrina Manor,Uniontown. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
