Rachael E. Turner; 67; of
Monessen; died Tuesday; Jan.
28; 1997; at her residence.
She was born June 23;1929; a
daughter of the late Simuel Galloway and Ruth Rochester.
Mrs. Turner worked as a cook
for Monessen Elementary
school for many years and as a
volunteer for Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was a member of the
Wayman A.M.E. Church of
Monessen; where she served as
a Sunday school teacher and on
the usher board.
Survivors include her husband; Major G.W.Turner;four daughters; Jennifer Patterson
of Monongahela; Kathleen
Rawlins of Pittsburgh; Vicki
Kizzie and Deborah Reynolds;
both of Monessen; one sister;
Bess Davis of Chicago; Ill.; one brother;George Calloway of Victorville;Calif.; eight
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by a
brother;Wesley Calloway.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
and Saturday until 11 a.m. in
the Wayman A.M.E. Church;
Reed Avenue; Monessen. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.;also in the Wayman A.M.E.Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.The
Aldrich Funeral Home; 431 East Ninth Ave.; Munhall; is handling the arrangements.
