City; he was the son of the late
Andrew and Sophia Chesniak
Turek.
A lifelong resident of
Monessen and the Mon Valley;
Mr. Turek was retired from the
tube mill department at the
Allenport plant of Wheeling-
Pittsburgh Steel Corp.
He was a member of The
Epiphany of Our Lord Roman
Catholic Church; the Croatian
Club; the Naomi Club and the
Hilltop Firemen’s Club; all of
Monessen.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
first wife; Leona Shimmel
Turek; a son; Paul W. Turek;
four sisters; Marie Ross; Helen
Mourad; Ann Weishaar and
Martha Del Hagen; and four
brothers; John; Michael; George
and Andrew Turek.
Surviving are his wife; Anna
Mahovlich Turek; one daughter;
Mrs. Roy (Doris) Horrell of
Belle Vernon; a stepson;
Stephen L. Mahovlich of Eden;
N.C.; seven grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; and three
sisters; Mrs. Joseph (Sophia)
Sabolak of Belle Vernon; Mrs.
Harry (Margaret) Applegate of
Palm Coast; Fla.; and Mrs. Bernard
(Sandy) Magruda of;
Charleroi.
Friends will be received Tuesday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Robert A. Billick Funeral
Home Inc.; Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue;Monessen;where a Blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Robert A.Billick Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
