Obituary

Jeffrey O. Thompson,43,of Belle Vernon R.D.5,died Tuesday,April 4,1989,at 5:26 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township.  Mr. Thompson was born Oct. 4,1945,in Uniontown,a son of James W. and Jeanne Frazier Thompson,both of whom survive and reside in Belle Vernon.  He was employed as a machinist at the Allenpotr Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation.  A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,Mr. Thompson was a member and elder of the First Christian Church,Monessen.  He was a past president of the Vernon Baseball Boosters Association and was a past vice president of the Belle Vernon Area Football and Cheerleader Parents Association.  Mr. Thompson had coached Little League baseball in Belle Vernon and also had coached midget football in both Belle Vernon and Charleroi. Surviving,in addition to his parents,are his wife,Dianne Hartbarger Thompson,at home;a daughter,Kelly Thompson,at home;three sons,Bradley,Christopher and Chad Thompson,all at home;one brother,Larry Thompson of Long Branch;and two sisters,Mrs. Vicki Davis and Mrs. Bradley (Jamie) Kusman,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.  Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. Conrad Aurl,pastor,First Christian Church,Monessen,offficiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
