Simeon Deems Theakston;77;of Brownstown;Fayette City R.D.1;died Monday;May 16;1988;at 6:15 a.m.in Presbyterian University Hospital of Pittsburgh. Mr.Theakston was born July 15;1910;in Speers;Washington County;a son of the late Fred and Anna Nickerson Theakston. He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Brownstown;and was retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He had served with the U.S.Marines during WW II. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Mary Theakston in January of 1978;and a son;Sheridan Theakston in January of 1968. He is survived by two sons;Harry Theakston and Russell Theakston;and a daughter;Mrs.Wayne (Janice) LaBancz;all of Fayette City R.D.1;18 grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren;four sisters;Mrs.Sudie Craig of Uniontown;Minnie Crum of Monessen;Dulcie Postel of Pittsburgh and Betty Smith of Cincinnati;Ohio. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.;Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday until 11 a.m.;when services will be held in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;with Rev.Douglas Motilo;pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Brownstown;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
