Maria Tonini of 14 Myers Ave.;Monessen;died Sunday;Sept.29;1985;at 12:30 a.m. at her home following a declining illness. She was 80. Born in Malcesine;Italy;Aug.15;1905;she was a daughter of the late Egnazio and Regina Trimeloni Rossi. Mrs.Tonini was a resident of Monessen since 1929 and was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband;Marco Tonini in June 1976 and a son;Douglas Richard in August 1963. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.Philip Gerald (Lucy) Ronco of Anchorage;Alaska;and Mrs.Anthony (Florence) DeLuca of Murrysville;Pa.;two sons;Nicholas and Roger Tonini;both of Belle Vernon;seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren;two sisters;Rosa and Rene and two brothers;Mario and Joseph ;all in Italy. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Billick Funeral Home;Grand Boulevard and Marion Ave.;Monessen;where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Mrs.Tonini’s son-in-law;Philip G.Ronco;minister;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
