Martha Smereczniak Tiano of 833 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,May 4,1984,at 3:40 p.m. in her home. She was 67. Mrs. Tiano was born Oct. 31,1915,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late Michael and Alexandra Monita Smereczniak. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community,she was a member of the First Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,and the King's Daughters Class of the chruch. Mrs. Tinao was preceded in death by her husband,Salvarore (Babe) Tiano,on May 8,1977,and by a sister, Virginia Merella. Surviving are one daughter,Mrs. Lloyd (Sondra) Sechrist,of McKeesport;one son,Michael Tiano,of Fellsburg;one brother,Metro Martin Smereczniak of Fayette City;one sister,Mrs. Ann Nogy,of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren;and one great-granddaughter. Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church,Short Street, Belle Vernon,with Dr. Donald A. Schrarr,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Venon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
