Obituary

William R. Honeytop Taylor Jr.of 100 Bowman St.,North Charleroi,died Monday,Oct.25,1982,at 12:30 a.m.in Monongahela Valley Hospital,Inc.,Carroll Twp. Mr.Taylor was 52. He was born Oct.2,1930,in Pricedale,a son of Myrtle Taylor of North Charleroi,who survives,and the late William R.Taylor Sr.,who died in 1975. He was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church,North Charleroi,where he served on the Board of Trustees. Mr. Taylor had owned and operated the William R.Taylor Funeral Home in Monessen for the past several years. He was the Exalted Ruler of Monessen Elks Okay Lodge No.697. Mr.Taylor was alos a member of Pricedale Twin Lodge 67,F&AM,and Joseph H.Ford Post 691 of The American legion in Monessen. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Taylor was a 1949 graduate of Charleroi High School and attended California State College. He also was graduated in 1958 from the Pittsburgh Mortuary School. In 1973, he was graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine after completing a course developed through the cooperation of the Department of Opthalmology and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. A former deputy coroner, Mr. Taylor was active with the Eye Bank program. In addition to his mother, survivors include his widow, Loral J. Taylor, five children, Trudy Taylor Clanagan and Lori Taylor, both of Monessen, and Eric Taylor, Wanda Anderson and Sherry Taylor,all at home,one sister,Lorena Watson of North Charleroi,two brothers,Daniel and Roy Jenerson,both of Rochester,N.Y.,and one granddaughter,TaLor Ashlee Clanagan. Friends will be recived in the William R.Taylor Funeral home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen,on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and at Mount Sinai Baptist Church,North Charleroi,on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday,OCt.28,1982,at 11 a.m.,with the Rev.E.W.Demps,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Tthe William R.Tayulor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
