Obituary

Samuel Trozzo of 323 Green st.,Belle Vernon,died Friday July 31,1981 at 2:23 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital.  He was 90.  Mr. Trozzo was born Dec. 30,1890 in Mendicino, Italy,a son of the late Ralph and Josephine DeMarco Trozzo.  He was a member of St. Sebastain Church,the Belle Vernon American Legion and the Belle Vernon Golden Agers. A U.S.Army veteran of World War I,Mr. Trozzo served with the 319th Infantry in France.  He had lived in the Belle Vernon area since 1916.  Mr. Trozzo was a former employee of American Windowglass Co.in Belle Vernon,and retired in 1959 as a general floor foreman at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Monessen Plant.  Survivors include his widow,Fanny Greco Trozzo;two sons,Daniel R. of Cleveland,Ohio and Samuel R. of San Diego,Calif.;one daughter,Mrs. Thomas (Genevieve) Ward of Belle Vernon;seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Church.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
