Obituary

Samuel Teano,74,of 228 Belle Vernon Apartments,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Oct.31,1980,at 3:30 a.m.in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 74. Mr.Teano was born Oct.12,1906,in Jumor,W.Va,,a son of the late John and Philomena Quinto Tiano. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community,he retired 18 years ago from Pittsburgh Flexicore of Monongahela. Mr.Teano was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S.Army Military Police and for the past 30 years was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He was a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Survivors include his widow,Rose Caputo Teano,and two sisters,Mrs.Pasqualina Stankovich and Mrs.Theresa Oliver,both of Belle Vernon. Mr.Teano was preceded in death by five brothers. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed at 11 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 services will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 7:15 p.m. Wake services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
