Samuel Teano;74;of 228 Belle Vernon Apartments;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Oct.31;1980;at 3:30 a.m.in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was 74. Mr.Teano was born Oct.12;1906;in Jumor;W.Va;;a son of the late John and Philomena Quinto Tiano. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community;he retired 18 years ago from Pittsburgh Flexicore of Monongahela. Mr.Teano was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S.Army Military Police and for the past 30 years was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He was a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon. Survivors include his widow;Rose Caputo Teano;and two sisters;Mrs.Pasqualina Stankovich and Mrs.Theresa Oliver;both of Belle Vernon. Mr.Teano was preceded in death by five brothers. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed at 11 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 services will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 7:15 p.m. Wake services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
