Obituary

Clarence Taylor,80,of 121 Krolic Ave.,Arnold City,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,Sept.30,1980,at 6:10 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital after a sudden illness. Mr.Taylor was born Oct.5,1899,in Henderson,Ky.,a son of the late Louis and Betty Harris Taylor. He was a retired employee of U.S.Steel Corporation's Claiton Works. Mr.Taylor was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon. Survivors include his wife,Lennis Randall Taylor,at home,a step-son,Monroe Young of Pittsburgh,a step-daughter,Treva Sumpler Young of Belle Vernon,three sisters,Rooster Isidora and Mary Reden,both of New York City,N.Y.,and Florence Evana of Henderson,Ky.,and three step-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev.Luther N.Wormack,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
