John Teringo Sr.,91,of Fayette city R.D.1,died Thursday,Nov. 16,1978 at 3:40 a.m. in Brownsville General Hospital. Mr. Teringo,a retired coal miner, was born in Hungary on May 28,1887. He was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Cathoic Church in Charleroi,Greek Catholic Union Lodge in Charleroi,Gillespie Slovak Club,the Monessen Slovak Club and Charleoi Eagles Club. Mr. Teringo was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Teringo,in 1939 and by a son, Steve Teringo, in 1961. Survivors include three sons, John Teringo Jr. of Fayette City R.D.1,Mike Teringo of Vero Beach, Fla. and Peter Teringo of Warren, Ohio; three daughters, Mary Teringo of Maple Heights,Ohio,Mrs. Joseph (Anna) Bednar of Fayette City R.D.1 and Mrs. John (Helen) Hohrun of West Covina,Calif.;13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City after 7 p.m. Thursday and until time of the Prayer service Saturday at 9 a.m.,followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church in Charleroi,with the Rev. Andrew Chura,pastor,as celebrant. Parastas Services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W. McCrory,funeral director,in charge.
