Obituary
Rose Vaccaro Soroka,75,of 217 Otto St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday, Jan. 7,1997,at 12:20 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Feb. 7,1921,in Italy,a daugher of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Ferrari Vaccaro. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon communitty,she was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,and the Legion of Mary of the church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Janice) Balko of Greensburg,two sons, Nick Soroka of Belle Vernon and John Soroka of Charleroi;a brother, Victor Vaccaro of Pittsburgh;a sister, Mrs. Frank (Jean) Ferarri of Belle Vernon and seven grandchildren. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband Nick Soroka on Nov. 5,1973. Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with the Rev. E. George Saletrik,parochial vicar,as celebrant. Intermenr will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary on Thursday at 3 p.m, in the funeral home. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
