Born Dec. 25; 1926; in Belle
Vernon; she was the daughter of
the late Samuel and Carmella
Cimmino Cefala.
A lifelong resident of the
Belle Vernon community; Mrs.
Stancato was a member of St.
Sebastian Roman Catholic
Church.
She was a member and past
president of the Belle Vernon
Knights of Columbus Council
3026 Ladies Auxiliary and a
member of Catholic Daughters
of the Americas; Belle Vernon
Court 1522; the Ladies Auxiliary of Belle Vernon; American
Legion Post 659 and the Fayette
City and Belle Vernon Golden
Age Assemblies.
She was retired from The
Back Porch; where she had
worked as a cook for 15 years.
In addition to her parents;
she was preceded in death by a
daughter; Lena Marie Stancato;
on Jan. 11;1991; a brother; William Cefala; and three sistsers;
Rose Antonucci; Josephine Severs and Frances Davis.
Surviving are her husband;
Frank Stancato; a son and
daughter-in-law; Sam and Debbie Stancato of Belle Vernon; a
daughter and son-in-law; Jo
Ann and Don Destefano of Fallowfield Township; seven
grandchildren; Natalie; Lindsay and Vinnie Destefano; Jason Stancato and Christopher;
Jarrett and Amanda Matson.
Friends wilLbe received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home; 626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.E.George Saletrik;parochial vicar;as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Angelina Stancato to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation. Catholic Daughters of the America Court 1522;Belle Vernon;and the Legion of Mary from St.Sebastian Church will recite the Rosary at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 will conduct services in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
