Ethel V.Smarelli of 385 Ridge Ave.;Monessen;died Wednesday;Aug.9;1995;at 11:15 a.m.at home. She was born in Carmichaels;Greene County;a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Martin. Mrs.Smarelli was Protestant by faith. She had lived in Monessen since 1965 and was formerly of Belle Vernon. Surviving are her husband;George Smarelli;a daughter;Mrs. George (Diane) Trenk of Belle Vernon;six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her prents;she was preceded in death by a daughter;Maureen Backos;who died in 1980. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Friday from 10 a.m.to noon;the time of funeral services with the Rev.Dr.Thomas St.Clair of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be private in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
