Anthony Scurci;90;of 1625 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;July 28;1994;at 4:45 p.m.in Jefferson Health Center. He was born July 22;1904;in Italy;a son of the late Donato and Giovani Scurci. Mr.Scurci was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. He retired as a steam plant operator from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel;Monessen Plant. Mr.Scurci is survived by three daughters;Mrs.Roy (Jean) Agostini and Mrs.Gust (Marie) Monios;both of Belle Vernon and Mrs.James (Patricia) Donley of New Stanton;10 grandchildren;and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Theresa Salvino Scurci;who died April 17;1986;and three brothers and a sister in Italy. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:15 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;at 10 a.m. Emtombment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
