Matthew (Boxie) Sabolek, 69, of Arnold City, Belle Vernon, died Monday, June 11, 1990, at 12:15 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township, following a short illness. Mr. Sabolek was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Washington Township, Fayette County, a son of the late Frank and Ann Kroskie Sabolek. He was a retired self-employed vendor. Mr. Sabolek was a member of the Washington Township Fire Department Social Club and was a social member of the Polish Club of Arnold City. He was Catholic by faith. A sister, Mildred Onufer, died in 1982. Surviving is a brother, Andy Sabolek, of Arnold City, Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home, Fayette City. A Blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m.with the Rev.Thomas G.Rinn,pastor of Holy Spirit R.C.Church of Fayette City,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
