Frank Scalise,68,of 301 Market St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly Saturday,Jan. 6,1990,at 9:30 a.m. in his home. Born March 27,1921,in San Giovanni in Fiore,Italy,he was the son of the late Tony and Costanza Mele Scalise. Mr. Scalise had lived in Belle Vernon since 1936,and was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. He retired in 1975 from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,where he had been an engineer if the pump house. He is survived by his wife, Sara Longo Scalise;one son,Tony Scalise of Fort Myers,Fla.;two daughters,Connie and Elaine,both of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren,Josha,Daniel and Sarah Marie;and one sister, Mrs. Mike (Mary) Argirakis of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.,700 Broad ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Tueday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
