Obituary

Joseph Sellaro,79,of 406 Monongahela Ave.,Elizabeth,died Thursday,Nov.16,1989,at 7:32 a.m.in Willis Nursing Center,Homestead. Born March 24,1910,in Bluefield,W.Va.,he was the son of the late Rosario and Saleta Bitonti Sellaro. Mr.Sellaro was a member of St.Michael Roman Catholic Church,Elizabeth Township. He had lived in Elizabeth the past nine years,having spent most of his life in Monessen. He retired in 1975 from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers,Frank and James Sellaro. Surviving are his wife,Anita Tucci Sellaro,one son,Norman R.Sellaro of Elizabeth,two grandchildren,Anthony and Dana,two brothers,John and Louis Sellaro,both of Belle Vernon,and three sisters,Edith Lachowicz,Mary Klisowski and Theresa Toth,all of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,with Father Kenneth L.Lovasik of St.Michael Roman Catholic Church,Elizabeth,as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
