Claude H. Shrader,71,of Charleroi R.D.2,died Sunday, Aug. 27,1989,in the Veterans' Administration Medical Center, Oakland,Pittsburgh,after a declining illness. Mr. Shrader was born Sept. 18,1918,in Monessen, a son of the late George and Hattie McCallister Shrader. He was a retired employee of the Allenport Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr. Shrader was a resident of the Monongahela Valley area all of his life. A Protestant by faith, he was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. A sister, Betty Ylanich,and two brothers, Clifford and Donald Shrader,are deceased. Surviving are two sons,Claude G. Shrader of Charleroi R.D.2 and George Shrader of Rostaver Township;four grandchildren;two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Oliver of New Kensington and Mrs. June Hopkins of Chareroi;and two brothers, George Shrader of Charleroi and Dwayne Shrader of Springfield,Ohio. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home,Inc.,Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home,with the Rev. Reinold Schlak,pastor,St. Paul Lutheran Church,Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Robert A. Billick Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
