Obituary

Remy A. Sechez,92,of Charleroi,died Thursday,Jan. 19,1989,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township.  Mr. Sechez was born Aug. 3,1896,in Charleroi, Belgium,a son of the late Remy and Clara Frere Sechez.  He was a retired craneman with the Allenport Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation.  Mr. Sechez was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.  He was a member of the Charleroi Golden Agers and the Belgium Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 167,both of Charleroi.  His wife, Pearl Peters Sechez,is deceased. Surviving are one son, Robert J. Sechez of Mercer;one daughter, Mr. Gladys Piccolo Prewitt of Pittsburgh; a granddaughter,Laurie Piccolo;one brother,Edmund Sechez of Stockdale and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. Francis M. Bair,pastor,Presbyterian Church of Charleroi,officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of choice.  The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
