Steve Joseph Simon of Char-House;Charleroi;died Saturday;Nov.19;1988;in Monongahela Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. Mr.Simon was 71. He was born Jan.1;1917;in Charleroi;a son of the late Imro and Filomena Simon. He was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Charleroi. Mr.Simon was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife;Beatrice Pellick Simmon;a brother;Frank Simon;and three sisters;Frances Jenkins;Pauline Sterdis and Jean Readay. Survivors include one daughter;Mrs.Stewart (Tamie) McCaw of Fayette City;and one sister;Mrs.Joseph (Ann) Bucko of Monessen. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday;Nov.23;at 10 a.m. in Saints Cyril and Methodius Church;Charleroi;with Father Pierre Sodini as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rosay will be recited Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
