Dorothy A. Bartley Shaffer,63,of Bristol Township,Pa.,formerly of Monessen, died Monday, Aug. 22,1988 in Pennyslvania Hospital,Philadelphia. Born in Johnstown,Pa.,Mrs. Shaffer had resided in Bristol Township for the past 35 years. She was a former resident of Monessen. Mrs. Shaffer was a member of Christ Lutheram Church,Levittown,Pa. Surviving are her husband,Robert L. Shaffer; one daughter, Rosemyra Rubino of Morrisville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends were received Wednesday,Aug. 24,in the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Levittown, where funeral services were held with the Rev. Howard Weidemoyer,pastor, Christ Lutheran Church,Levittown,officiating. A Memorial Service and burial were held Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. in Belle Vernon Cemetery,with the Rev. Edward Crotty,pastor,Lynnwood Lutheran Church,officiating.
